Terms of Service
Effective September 13, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Prism Data Group, LLC ("we", "us") for the Spam Squirrel service at spamsquirrel.prismdatagroup.com. By signing in or purchasing, you accept them.
1. What Spam Squirrel does
Spam Squirrel connects to a mailbox you control (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, Microsoft 365, Gmail, or iCloud), reads message headers to identify senders and their published unsubscribe mechanisms, presents them to you, and, when you choose an action and click Apply, sends unsubscribe requests on your behalf. It also records the result of each action and flags senders who keep mailing after you unsubscribed. Additional actions (removal requests, spam reports, block rules) may be offered in future releases and are covered by these terms when you choose them.
Spam Squirrel does not read message bodies, and does not take any action you have not chosen. Our Privacy Policy describes the data involved and forms part of these terms.
2. Your account and eligibility
You must be at least 16 and have authority over the mailbox you connect. If it is a work or school mailbox, you confirm that your organization permits you to use third-party tools with it, or that an administrator has granted consent. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure; we do not hold your account password.
3. What you authorize us to do
By choosing an action for a sender and clicking Apply, you instruct us to perform that action on your behalf: to send an unsubscribe request to that sender or, where a future release offers it, to send an email from your mailbox to the recipient shown beside the action or to create an inbox rule. You are the sender of any email that leaves your mailbox and you are responsible for its content, which we generate from templates you can inspect before applying.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Spam Squirrel to: connect a mailbox you are not authorized to control; harass any person or organization, including by sending removal requests or reports you know to be unfounded; interfere with the service, probe its security, or access another user's data; resell the service or use it to build a competing product; or violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
5. Plans, trial, and payment
- Free trial: 7 days, requires a payment card, includes 3 unsubscribes. You may end the trial early to unlock unlimited unsubscribes, in which case your first billing period starts that day.
- Monthly plan: $19.95 USD per month, unlimited unsubscribes, billed monthly after the trial.
- Annual plan: $149 USD per year, unlimited unsubscribes, billed annually after the trial.
- Deep Clean: $34 USD one-time, unlimited unsubscribes for 14 days from purchase. No subscription and no renewal.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app; continuing past the effective date accepts the new price.
6. No refunds; cancellation
All purchases are final and non-refundable. This includes monthly and annual subscription payments, Deep Clean purchases, and charges that begin when you end a trial early. Cancelling a subscription stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. You can cancel at any time from the Manage billing link in the app. Where the law of your place of residence grants a non-waivable right to a refund, that right is unaffected.
7. Results are not guaranteed
Whether a sender stops emailing you depends on that sender. We send the request their own systems publish and record their response, but we cannot control whether they honor it, how quickly, or whether they have sold your address elsewhere. A successful HTTP response from a sender's server means the request was received, not that it was acted on. If a future release offers removal requests or FTC reports, they are sent to addresses that we identify by convention (for example, privacy@ the sender's domain) and may go unanswered. Repeat-offender flags are based on message timestamps and may include mail that was already in transit.
8. Your data and our content
You own the data in your mailbox and the records we keep about it. You grant us the limited right to process that data to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We own the Spam Squirrel software, site, name, and content, and you may not copy or reuse them beyond what these terms allow.
9. Third-party services
Spam Squirrel depends on your mail provider, a payment processor, and the other categories of provider described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their availability or conduct. Your use of your mail account remains subject to your mail provider's terms, including any limits your organization sets.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any sender will stop emailing you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 USD if you have paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your use of a mailbox you were not authorized to connect, or emails you chose to send through the service.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if we discontinue the service, with notice where practical. Sections 6 through 14 survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the address below and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. Any claim not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief, and consumers retain any non-waivable rights under the law of their place of residence.
15. Changes to these terms and to the service
We may change these terms at any time. Changes take effect when the updated terms are posted on this page with a new effective date, unless the update states a later date. Posting here is notice to you; we may also announce changes in the app or by email, but are not required to. Your continued use of Spam Squirrel after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
We may also change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service, including supported mail providers, actions, plans, and prices, at any time and without prior notice. Price changes apply from your next billing period. We are not liable to you or any third party for any change to or discontinuation of the service.
